Desert landscapes... such as Egypt, banal? Never! I suppose somewhere different from your home environment is always going to feel more exotic and interesting, I do like desert landscapes! Scotland is often very 'dreich' wet overcast, cold and unphotogenic but it does have its (brief) moments! http://scotfot.blogspot.com/2007/12/christmas-morning-in-scottish-borders.html Your images are very creative! Many thanks. Bob.

@scotfot: jesus christ, the photo is just amazing. is it really scotland ? i'd love to go there especially 'cause i'm fond of boards of canada : ) well, for russians egypt is banal in terms of spending a holiday.. everyone was there. and you're right, even - the more different is the landscape from your home one, the more appealing it feels to be there. thank you too for attention & appreciation. : ))
Yes, really Scotland! Most of my Scottish blog is very local, the Christmas morning images in the link were 10 minutes down the road! Scotland is tantalizing for photographers... there are usually only small windows of opportunity when conditions are great, maybe only minutes! I hope you make Scotland one day! Best wishes for 2008! Bob
